Don't say...it's $3 for a slice of quiche.
I know, I know...it's for charity.
Spend the entire day at the School today...it was tiring but fun. I worked on the information stall for an hour then sold food for half an hour before Leesy took over (pictured). She's 34 weeks now, glowing and growing fast...people say she's still small but it doesn't feel small to her.
People amaze me. No one seemed to flinch at paying $3 for a slither of cake or quiche. I don't think I am a penny pincher but that just seems like a pretty poor deal to me. Nonetheless, parents handed over their money and I served them their skinny portion of organic wholemeal, gluten-free, spelt, vegan, hay flavoured slices, tarts and pies.
The professional coffee clubs are the worst for the pricing of slices of cheesecake....have you noticed how they'll charge $6.50 for a normal sized piece ?

i mean the cake does sound delish so should be a steal for 3 dollar! I too am over 'cakes' in Brisbane as they all made at the same cake 'factory' - and well yuk! so now i try to favour coffee shops that make their own - I like a bit of difference
