This entry was intended to be tongue-in-cheek, however it raises some deeper issues related to the defeating notion of Sainthood...to me, it is an oldie worldie unrealistic Religiousity that serves to deny the fragile and imperfect nature of every person. I think Saints are akin to 'New Years Resolutions' in that they are designed to make you feel like a failure.
alas you were not the only green leprachaun today - check out my blog :) and as i said to leesy j - i hadn;t even read yours when I did mine.
I would also posit the question what does it mean to anyone? anywhere? anyone? anyone? is it just another hallmark creation - liek st valentines day? is it?
You SO need to come to Toowoomba for St.Paddy's Day...check out my blog today. And in case you're wondering, yes, I wore green today (my dearly departed Irish Grandmother would have haunted me if I didn't...)Mac's class had green pancakes too today, if it makes you feel better, and Luke Skywalker's class all made shamrocks, leprechauns and took a walk through St.Patricks Cathedral looking for all the shamrock emblems riddled throughout the church. Are ya feeling better yet?
