The Very Very Happy but tired Camper is home - feedback so far includes vegetarian meals allllll week, no desert, late night ghost stories and maple syrup on porridge.
Have you tried the Canadian-inspired Maple syrup on bacon, and french toast? Man, what they do with Maple syrup over there. It sure did open my eyes to a whole new world of quisine-accompanied-by-maple-syrup....
I love love love maple syrup (but it's gotta be the real thing and it costs $6 a botle - ouch)and my good pals who travel annually to NYC tell me that maple features hugely over there.
I am still stuck thinking it can only be applied to pancakes...even having it with french toast feels daring...so to have it with bacon is a little scary for me....however, having said that my 3 fave food groups are : candy, candy cane and syrup. (Which is a quote from Elf.)
there is absolutely NO POINT in buying any thing other than the REAL Maple Syrup. None of this Maple Syrup "FLAVOURED" nonsense thankyou. Its gotta be REAL!!!! After Canada, I embraced Maple Syrup with vigour. Pancakes were just the tip of the ice-berg. Now I glaze whole baked hams in it, carrots, my home-baked breakfast bars (complete with Condensed Milk), bacon, french toast, Pumpkin and prosciutto salad....there is nothing you canna have with Maple syrup Damo!!!
