Don't say...we don't need Vatican 3.
Called in to have a quick cuppa with the Big B yesterday.
We had missed the Australian Story episode about ex-Priest Father Peter Kenedy of St Mary's.
I was impressed that such an elderly gentleman could share my concern that the Church is becoming increasingly irrelevant to young people.

I did see bits and pieces of that show as well. It is a very interesting topic methinks - and well one would think that everything needs to evolve - ad surely 'the church' isn;t the same church that is was 500 years ago - so change can happen. I had this conversation with someone not so long ago and they went on and on at me about how catholicism is 'a brand' and that that preist was breaking with 'the brand' ergo had to go. What a long comment.

I have been informed that Peter Kennedy is not an ex-priest...he has only been stood down from that parish.
Without these exact details the fallout of this error could create widespread media panic as a direct result of having such a vast readership.
I hope this correction will calm the hysteria.
