Leesy and I were talking the other day about the fact that the kids know that we eat chocolate secretly after they go to bed.
What happens when they can no longer be sent to bed at 7.30pm ?
Surely, we don't have to share ?

Oh goodness no way - Surely there will still be a point in the night when it is just the grown ups for a little while. ANd well if worse comes to worse you can always ration it out like our mum did. SHe used to be in control of the block - and would give us some and then there would come a point - where she would say "You've had enough - there isn;t enough left for me"...in true margie style. Or you can go woth Dad's theory and buy stuff that everyone hates...Old Gold. YUK...

Love that reflection from J...Margie had a very sensible system coz I just don't think I could wait until they went to bed to eat me chocolate.

Easy solution - if they're old enough to stay up later with the grown-ups, then they can have chocolate - but they have to pay for it themselves!
Remember, things will get even more interesting in a few years when they stay up later than you do, "studying"... from experience, I can predict that they will empty the pantry while you're asleep.
