Don't say...Christmas in July.
Tell you what, I really really really cannot stand "Christmas in July" !
My favourite show on TV is 'The Great South East' and they have just done a story on this very thing - "If you can't wait for Christmas then why not have it now ?"....arrgghhhh !!!
I'll tell you why not - BECOZ IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS !
Are we so impatient that we can't let anything be special anymore ? I don't really know why it peeves me so much but it would seriously be the LAST staff function I would ever attend. Standing around pretending it's Christmas - what a joke !
It's just so ridiculous - what's next - Easter In September ? (Not so far from the truth though coz it's about when they start putting the eggs in the shops).
I know - on the first of August, wanna have "New Years Eve in August ? Wanna ?

Have to agree with that Pinga. Do they actually plan on putting a tree up and giving each other presents or is it just an excuse for a party? Also, someone better tell Mary she now has to have two immaculate conceptions every year.

I thought it was just about having a chance to have Christmas in wintertime ??
But I agree there are too many "manufactured" reasons to party these days.
Enough to make one sigh and say "Saints preserve us..."
Must say Tib has taken this post in an interesting direction.
